Review: Hera UV Mist Cushion, Ultra Moisture

Hello again!

So, after hearing so many good reviews about the Hera UV Mist Cushion Ultra moisture, I decided that I would finally give it a chance. Moisture cushions are known for their convenient and easy application and this product was no exception. As usual the shades selection is not broad, ranging from 13 Cool Ivory, 21 Cool Vanilla and 23 Cool Beige. The one I purchased in is 21 Cool Vanilla.

The packaging is similar to most cushion foundations. It's very compact and convenient to bring for daily touch ups. A cushion applicator as well as an extra compact refill is also included.

  • SPF34/ PA ++
  • Mineral clay water/Mineral water shield
  • Camellia oil mist
  • Hyaluronic filling sphere
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Extra compact refill

It has a light to buildable medium coverage. When using this product I would recommend focusing on the centre of the face and blending outwards, drawing most attention to the higher points of the face such as the cheek bones, nose and chin to achieve the most natural coverage. It's important to also remember that a little of this product does go a long way so don't soak too much of the foundation onto the sponge as this could be difficult to blend out. For those who have pink undertones in their skin 21 Cool Vanilla is recommended however if your skin is slightly more tan or has yellow undertones, 23 Cool beige will be more suitable.

The finish is very dewy so no doubt will it even out dull and tired skin. However this foundation like many other Korean bb creams/foundations will appear white upon first application, having said that you will not appear pale or pasty but instead your skin will appear visibly brighter and healthier.

Overall with the use of a good base primer this foundation will last for atleast 4-6hrs, after this amount of time I found that it would start to slightly oxidise around my nose and chin area. I also noticed that this foundation/bb cream was especially moisturising as its main function is to lock in moisture (i.e. mineral water shield) in order to achieve that prolonged radiant glow. The Camellia oil is a major moisturising ingredient. Although if you do have dry flaky skin this product may draw attention to those certain areas so, good skin care is key prior to using this product.

The texture is slightly dense however the sponge applicator does help to blend out the product into a much lighter and even coverage. I will say though that if you were looking for a product that feels light weight for days you don't feel like wearing make up this foundation does feel quite heavy on the skin if you wanted to use it on a regular basis. The scent is subtle, slightly floral and sweet.
